Just Clips ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights when using the Just Clips iOS app.
The short version: we don't sell your data, we don't use third-party advertising trackers, and most of your information never leaves your device.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Brand profile — your brand name, niche, content type, and a brief description you set during onboarding. This is stored locally on your device and sent to our server only when generating content.
Information generated automatically:
- Usage counters — we track how many free renders and carousel saves you have used, stored entirely on your device.
- Generation history — titles, types, and timestamps of your last 20 generated reels and carousels, stored locally on your device.
- A unique user ID — provided by RevenueCat to manage your subscription. This ID is anonymous and not linked to your name or email.
Photos and videos:
- Just Clips requests access to your photo library to let you import videos for reels and photos for carousels. We access only the files you explicitly select. Finished reels and carousels are saved to your camera roll.
- We do not upload your photos or videos to our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Content generation — your niche, description, and topic are sent to our backend server to generate captions, hooks, and scripts using Google's Gemini AI. Only the text you provide is transmitted; your photos and videos are never uploaded.
- Subscription management — your anonymous RevenueCat user ID is included in API requests to enforce subscription limits (free tier vs. Pro).
- App functionality — usage counters and generation history are used to provide the app's features locally on your device.
3. Third-Party Services
Just Clips uses the following third-party services:
- RevenueCat — handles in-app purchase and subscription management. RevenueCat processes your Apple ID purchase data in accordance with their privacy policy.
- Google Gemini AI — powers AI caption, hook, and script generation. Your brand profile and content topic are processed by Google's AI in accordance with Google's privacy policy.
- Railway (backend hosting) — our server infrastructure that processes generation requests. No personal data is persisted on our server beyond the duration of a single request.
- Apple App Store & StoreKit — handles all payment transactions. We never see or store your payment information.
4. Data Retention
- Brand profile data, usage counters, and generation history are stored locally on your device and can be cleared at any time from the app's Settings screen.
- Our server does not retain any user data between requests. Requests are processed and immediately discarded.
- RevenueCat retains subscription records in accordance with their data retention policies.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Information is only shared with the third-party services described in Section 3 as necessary to operate the app.
6. Children's Privacy
Just Clips is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected].
7. Your Rights
- Access and deletion — most data is stored locally on your device and can be deleted by uninstalling the app or clearing data from Settings.
- Opt out of AI processing — you can use the app without entering a brand description, which limits the information sent to our generation server.

8. Security
All communication between the app and our server uses HTTPS. API requests require a secret key to prevent unauthorized access. We do not store passwords or payment information.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
